Time to Kill

Sitting in Aureole - Charlie Palmer's Las Vegas restaurant

Ordered up a 1999 australian mouvedre (Hewitson Old Garden Mouvedre - Barrossa Valley). That got the sommelier interested and we had an awesome 30 min conversation. Covered everything from black schist in Spain to 2002 vintage champagne as a lay down bottle for my first son.

Seared fois gras appetizer and NY Strip main course on the way.

Life is not too bad.
