Clos des Mouches - Beaune - 2005 Chanson

A ruby surrounded in darkness describes the color of this vintage.
Fruit notes are ever so slight amidst the deep rich velvet underbelly.
This platform is the base for both oak notes as well charred meats and a
hint of spice reminiscent of cinnamon, cardamom and clove. This is
definitely worth a second spin and has the legs to hold up. Don't let
it sit too long, though. Turned a bit coppery after an hour in the
glass.
